thumbs up

i figured it was time for a personal update, but i'm just throwing out some random thoughts about the way things are going.

working only 22-25 hours a week is wierd, and making only $6.47 makes it difficult to you know, LIVE.

my sleep patterns are all screwed up, so for the past four nights i have awoken in the middle of the night, tried to read, decided i was hungry, so i then proceed to make two eggs sunny side up. man is it good. but i'm probably going to get my pre-teaching fat back. then i watch whatever is on nbc or cbs. it's usually access hollywood.

i had to go to target today, to return some stuff because of the aforementioned $$$$ problem. it is attached to the savannah mall, which has to be one of the most depressing places ever. i got stuck in a TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR so i walked around and i think i saw a total of 15 people throughout the mall. and half of it smelled like throw-up. there are mainly just knock-off stores, like ENVY that sells club clothing. or COUNTRY SPECIALS that sells cheap knick-knacks. there is something depressing about empty enclosed malls, with its massive span of peach and gray tile and fake plants. what's even more depressing is i sat on a bench for about half an hour and read my book.

i think i broke my sewing machine last night, and i can't figure out how to get it working again.

i love the show HELL'S KITCHEN.

i'm doing much better on the social front, it seems. i'm working on being less of the bad insane, and more of the good insane. i didn't do a very good job on thursday but saturday i did.

i almost hit a genius pedestrian today, who decided to wait until the light turned green to cross the street. he then stopped in the middle of the road, and pointed to the crosswalk, like 'hey i'm in the crosswalk so it's okay.' i pointed to the sign that said DO NOT WALK. but i'm not sure it was actually there, so i could've just been pointing to the side of the road.

i can't register for classes, because my immunization records are incomplete. and i don't have a doctor. and my pediatrician, who gave me the shots 45 years ago, is no longer in practice. so i don't know what i'm going to do about that.

i owe over $30 in parking tickets.

i would have to agree, and i blame him for my severe doctor apprehension. but no, he doesn't practice anymore.

it is a definite culture shock. maybe because it's in a much smaller area than jacksonville, but the diversity amazes me.

i should have probably already started my research, but my resources are limited and i'm lazy. you know, that whole procrastination thing. i'm hoping it will continue to work in my favor.
